Located off Hwy 93 in Scott, Louisiana AKA “The Boudin Capital of the World”, is a small red building that’s been serving Acadiana with award-winning Cajun specialty meats for over 35 years.

Following hard times in Louisiana in the 80s, Laurence Menard and Robert Cormier sought new ways to make an additional income. Their family knowledge of traditional Cajun food, an available lot, and a dream would one day become The Best Stop Supermarket. Working tirelessly, they perfected their recipe for boudin, cracklins, sausage, specialty meats, and Cajun seasonings recipes. These recipes remain unchanged to this day. Owned and operated by the Cormier family for over thirty-five years, the Best Stop Supermarket in Scott, LA has become a staple in Cajun Country.

Investing in a state-of-the-art wholesale facility has allowed The Best Stop to offer a taste of Cajun Country to fans across the nation through e-commerce, retailers and future franchises. Though The Best Stop has grown significantly, its commitment to family, community and authentic Cajun food has not changed at all.
